The Zkittlez Backbone
Kiwano is heavily Z-dominant. Zbx2 means the Zkittlez parent has been backcrossed twice, concentrating those candy-fruit terpenes rather than diluting them.
Crossing that back into Z × Strawberry Zkillato stacks the fruit character further. The result is a plant that reads tropical rather than generically sweet — closer to melon rind and citrus zest than the berry-candy note most Z crosses land on.

- Flavour first. Every cultivar we release since our late-2022 rebuild has been selected primarily for terpene expression, not yield or potency numbers.

How Kiwano Is Grown
Kiwano is grown in a 1,000 square foot facility next to the Manistee National Forest. Everything is grown, trimmed, designed and packaged in-house by the owner and his wife.
The room runs a hybrid approach — combining the control of hydroponics with organic inputs — on a custom nutrient program built from scratch. No pesticides. No sterilizers. No remediation, ever.
We would rather take the loss than release something that is not up to our standards.
That includes lab choice. We do not use labs known for inflating potency numbers, which sometimes means our THC figures read lower than flower sitting next to ours on the same shelf.
Grow notes for tight Z crosses
- Airflow before anything else. Z backcrosses throw dense flower; stagnant air is the enemy.
- Feed for flavour, not for size. Pushing nitrogen late costs you terpenes and smoothness.
- Control late-flower humidity. Terpene retention and rot prevention are the same job.
- Cure slowly. Tropical notes sharpen over several weeks in glass.
